Born in Costa Rica and currently based in Madrid, Spain, FIDE (José Fidel Tristán Valverde) is a producer, mixing engineer, and artist whose sound lives at the intersection of R&B, soul/disco, and Latin indie.

Growing up surrounded by Costa Rica's lush nature and the vibrant musical traditions of Latin America, he developed a deep appreciation for organic sound and emotional storytelling. This foundation—combined with a self-taught, hands-on background in guitar and piano, and a Master's degree in Music Production from TAI University in Madrid—shapes an authentic creative perspective that is clearly reflected in his sonic palette.

Today, FIDE works on his own music as both producer and artist, while also collaborating with artists around the world as a producer, mixing, and mastering engineer. His philosophy is simple: one step in front of the other, enjoying the process while doing the best work possible. Music carries the energy of its creators.
