Growing up in Costa Rica, FIDE found himself caught between worlds. The tropical rhythms of his homeland. The American indie records his older brother played. The R&B grooves that echoed from late-night radio. None of it felt quite right alone — but together, it became something worth chasing.

The approach is simple: record everything through the lens of feeling, not formula. If a song needs lo-fi tape hiss, it gets it. If it needs crystal-clear vocals over a minimal beat, that's what happens. The only rule is honesty.
